By studying Business Management at the HIM you will acquire a comprehensive business knowledge and methodological skills. You will investigate the behavior of consumers in markets and employees in companies as well as business areas focusing on numbers. Consequently, you will learn how to analyse everyday business issues, establish necessary connections and develop plans of action.

In the 4th and 5th semesters the course of study offers you two interesting specialist areas to deepen your knowledge: International Management and Marketing Management. In English you acquire language and intercultural competencies which you need to professionally communicate with business partners. If you want to, you can choose to add on a second foreign language, either Spanish or French, to lay the foundation for later business activities in an international environment. Whilst studying you complete a mandatory 4- month internship at a company in Germany or abroad. This gives you the opportunity to gain insight into the professional opportunities awaiting you after your studies.

During the application process for the internship you can profit from the expert advice and diverse company contacts of our Career Service. Should you want to, you can spend a semester studying abroad at our partner universities in New York or Shanghai. The modules you complete at our partner universities abroad correspond with the modules covered at the HIM. Consequently, all credits achieved during your semester abroad will be acknowledged upon return and you can complete your course of study in the regular study time.
