Study in Heidelberg, Germany

Come to Heidelberg to study! It’s hard to imagine a more attractive and fascinating environment for a degree course in International Management than that offered by the Hochschule für Internationales Management.

Poets and painters from all over the world have eternalised the romantic setting of ‘Alt-Heidelberg’ in verse and on canvas. From the Philosopher’s Way, said by connoisseurs of Heidelberg to be the most beautiful promenade in Europe, you gaze down at the Neckar River, with the Old Bridge and the picturesque Old Town reflected in its waters. The narrow lanes of the Old Town, with its countless restaurants, bistros, bars and cafés, invite you to linger for a while. This is where the nightlife is at.

Towering majestically above the town are the mystical castle ruins. In the summer the inner courtyard provides the venue for the Castle Festival, and guests from all over the world marvel at the famous Castle Illuminations. The small weekly farmers' markets, the zoo and the botanical garden, the funicular railway up to the Königstuhl, the pedalos and sailing boats on the Neckar … all this makes studying in Heidelberg such an invigorating experience. In fact, many students have come to Heidelberg just to do their degree but then ended up as permanent residents.

Heidelberg can offer you a stimulating cultural environment in which to study. Germany’s oldest university, the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg, its affiliated institutes and a host of major companies shape the town’s worldwide reputation for combining science and technology with the tradition of romantic student life.

Heidelberg is located in the Rhein-Neckar Triangle, about 20 km from Mannheim, 80 km from Frankfurt and 100 km from Stuttgart, and can be easily reached via the motorway. The town itself offers a good public transport network with tram and bus stops just a few minutes' walk away from the HIM. Moreover, there are numerous cycle paths throughout the town for those preferring to hop on a bike.
